Josephine R. “Josie” Ursida, 84, of Freedom, was reunited with her husband, Larry, on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2016. Her passing occurred at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.Born December 24, 1931, in Freedom, she was the last surviving child of the late Joseph and Rose Campese. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Ursida, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1996. Josephine found employment at Big Lots in Rochester, rising to department head and later, worked part-time at Dollar Tree, Northern Lights. A member of St. Felix Parish in Freedom, Josephine also bowled with her husband at Baden Bowl and after his passing, in a ladies’ league. She also enjoyed dancing, especially the jitterbug.She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter, Renee Dimerling of Freedom; two sons, Larry Ursida of Winter Springs, Florida, and Vince Ursida and his wife, Maria, of Gambrills, Maryland; a son-in-law, Eric Dimerling of Freedom; three grandchildren, Lauren McDowell, Lindie (Blaine) Storar and A. J. (Marina) Ursida; two great-grandchildren, Antenetta and Vincenzo Ursida, and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents Josephine was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.Friends will be received Wednesday, August 31st, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Felix Parish, Freedom. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
