Julia Tolfa, 62, of Monaca, passed away Thursday evening, February 13, 2014, at Villa St. Joseph of Baden.Born June 4, 1951, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Leo Joseph and Mary (Pelino) Tolfa. Julie attended Highland School in Fallston and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca. Known for her cheerful attitude, she loved dancing, especially at weddings, and crocheting and playing scratch lotto tickets. Julie was a joy to everyone she met.She will be sadly missed by her sister Rose Booher and her husband, Jack, of Monaca; three nephews, John Jr., James and Leo; a niece, Mary Jo and her husband, Stan; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews, BethAnn (Fred), John III, Samantha, Stan, Tim, Nikki, Cassie, Nate, Bobby, Veronica, Jacqui, Emily and Hunter and a great-great-niece, KaelynIn addition to her parents Julie was preceded in death by a brother, Leo ‘Butch’ Tolfa.Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where prayers will be offered at Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.Interment will follow in Mt.
