Kathryn Mosca Mild, 55, of Monaca, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born August 30, 1956, in New Brighton, she was a daughter of Phyllis Grosshans Mosca of Monaca and the late William F. ?Red? Mosca. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1974, she attended Penn State University Main and Beaver Campuses and Community College of Beaver County. Kathy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca, and Christian Mothers and the church?s contemporary choir, where she played guitar. Kathy was first employed as a lab technician at ARCO Chemical and later as the cafeteria manager for Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Beaver and St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Monaca.
Along with her mother she will be sadly missed by her husband, Gary, of Monaca, with whom she would have celebrated 28 years of marriage in November, a daughter, Kayla Mild and a son, Jason Mild; a brother, Robert Mosca in Colorado; a brother-in-law, Edward (Theresa) Mild, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Deborah Reed, of Monaca and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where parting prayers will be offered Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Her pastor, Rev. Fr. George Chortos, will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
The family has suggested that contributions be made in Kathy?s memory to St. John the Baptist Catholic School, 17th Street and Virginia Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061.
