Kelley L. Rhodes-Hope, 33, of Economy, a loving mother, dedicated wife and accomplished individual, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2014.
Born May 11, 1980, in Sewickley, she was the only child of Robert J. Rhodes of Ambridge and Gail A. Staub Rhodes of Monaca. A graduate of Mt. Gallitzin Academy and Quigley Catholic High School, Class of 1998, with highest honors in the upper division, Kelley received a bachelor?s degree in history from Brunel University in London, England, in 2003. While living in England, Kelley founded and operated a nationwide internet support group advocating social acceptance. She went on to Carlow University, Pittsburgh, to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a second bachelor?s degree in psychology in 2005. Currently, she was pursuing her master?s degree in psychology at Carlow University. She was a very talented and accomplished researcher for autism and ADHD. Skilled in computer science, she also founded, designed and administered a fan website for Christoph Waltz.
Kelley will be sadly missed by her husband, Michael Hope, and beautiful six-year-old son, Aidan. Along with her parents she leaves a maternal grandmother, Patricia Staub of Monaca and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kelley was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Staub and paternal grandparents, James Kelley and Alma Ella Rhodes.
A private family service was held in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Fr. Scott Homer, pastor of Trinity Anglican Church, Beaver, officiated.
Donations may be made in Kelley?s memory, if desired, to any autism, ADHD or depression-related charities of the donor?s choice.
