Larry B. Hiwiller, Sr., 66, of Monaca, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home.He leaves a son, Larry Hiwiller, Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of Erie; four grandchildren, Rachel-Anne, Kyra, Anthony Orlando and Gianni Blaine Hiwiller; a brother, Thomas (Patty) Hiwiller of Rochester; two sisters, Penny (Clark) Pugh of Beaver and Jackie (Dan) Zajac of Monaca; a niece, Jennifer (George) Thomas; four nephews, Tom (Katrina) Hiwiller, Paul (Abbey) Pugh, Danny Zajac, Jr. and Ryan Zajac and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine T. and Florence L. (McCullough) Hiwiller.Born September 25, 1949, Larry was a graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1967, and then attended Edinboro University. While in high school he played football and was a member of the band. He also played Little League Baseball as a catcher and had the distinction of hitting the first home run at the new field in 1961 near John Antoline Park, Monaca.. A long-tenured employee at Valspar in Rochester, Larry found his true passion working at Baierl Ford in Zelienople as a salesman.
