Larry Thomas Short

On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, Larry T. Short passed away after a long and hard-fought battle with diabetes. Born on July 10th, 1956, in Rochester, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence Evore and Gertrude Short. He is survived by his three children, Nathan T. Short of Beaver, PA Simon D. (Michelle) Short of Monaca, PA, Lauren (Yoan Flores) Short and a granddaughter Priya of Lutz, FL, two sisters, Joan (Bill) Wonsettler of Morgantown, WV and Emma (Charlie) Ebbert of Chippewa, PA. Larry was preceded in death by his loving pit bulls, Deuce and Dozer whom he loved dearly.

Larry was a man that worked with his hands, from the time he graduated Monaca High School in 1975 until he could no longer work. His trades included autobody man, millwright, diesel mechanic, fabricator, motorcycle mechanic and laborer at Local 833. Larry always had an artistic eye for custom paint and motorcycle building; a true talent that made him some great and personal friends over the years.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, specialists and friends that have cared for Larry over the years, especially those at Liberty dialysis. Larry’s final wish was to be cremated. There will be no services at this time. A party and car cruise will be put together at a later date in remembrance of Larry. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Beaver County, 3394 Broadhead Road, Center Township, PA 15001, in Larry’s memory.
