Lauren Scanga Everly

A Loving wife and a mother, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021, at the age of 70, following a battle with ALS. Her final days were spent surrounded by family at home in New Sewickley Township.
Lauren was born on February 13, 1950 in Pittsburgh, to Lawrence Scanga and Angelina Kaufman. She’s a 1968 graduate from Schenley High School. She married her sweetheart, Walter T. Everly, whom she was married to for 41 years. They raised one child, Erin. Lauren was such a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family & friends; her grand dog, Colby; knitting/crocheting; cooking and loved volunteering her time at Unionville United Methodist Church, where is a member, doing their food pantry and monthly Saturday breakfasts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; Louis Scanga & step-brother, Ronald Druga Sr.; brother-in-law, Brian Quinet. She is survived by her husband, Walt; daughter, Erin (Brian) Spielman; granddaughter, Hallie Spielman; half-sister, Mickey Singer; sister in laws; Peggy Kratz & Donna Richards; and many other nieces, nephews & cousins.
