Lena (Taormina) D’Antonio, 88 of Monaca passed away peacefully in her sleep to be reunited with her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Nick D’Antonio on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Born in Santa Clara, California, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Taormina. She was formerly employed with Lucci Kitchens and as a nurse’s aide at Beaver Valley Geriatric Center from where she retired. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca and a Christian Mother. Lena was also a member of the Silver Sneaker’s Dance Team and looked forward to meeting with her friends for a monthly card club.
In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nick D’Antonio. She was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony D’Antonio, and four brothers, Tony, Danny (Dolly), Sammy, and Joseph Taormina.
Lena is survived and will be sadly missed by: her children, Robert (Kathie) D’Antonio, Rebecca (Jeff) Bentel, and Chris D’Antonio, a daughter in law, Geraldine D’Antonio, a brother, Jimmy (Carol) Taormina, sisters-in-law; Mary, Janet, and Lil, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Lena’s life will be announced at a later date.
