Lesli and her family lived in my father's house in North Sewickley in the 1970s. Even at that young age it was apparent that she would grow up to be a very mature and loving person. She always took care of her her siblings and it was obvious she loved them very much. We had the chance to talk a few times as adults and I was so glad to see just how strong her faith in God was. She is with Him now.

I graduated from Riverside High School with Lesli. She was always an amazing combination of maturity and humor. She took on responsibilities that would have been difficult for people much older than she, but could still be silly and fun. Diane McKinney Baldwin

This message is particularly to Heather, but to the whole family as well. Heather, I remember your lovely mother and her glowing smile and kind nature. I know that you will miss her terribly, but what a blessing to know that she is in the arms of Jesus now. I found your third grade picture and remember that you were such a wonderful student.( I couldn't remember how long ago that you were in my class. But I will always remember you!) Trust the Lord to get you through this time. What a wonderful mother yours was. Even in the years to come, she will teach you many things through the way she raised you and your sisters. God bless you all and give you the peace that passes understanding. Take care. Mrs. Gouldsbarry

Our sympathies to your family at the passing of this wonderful lady. "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." -I Thessalonians 4:13-18 -Jeff Popp & family

Dear Gary, As I write this I find myself struggling for the right words. I am at a loss. There just isn't any words that can describe the magnitude of who Lesli was. I can remember my first impression of her. I thought she was quiet and reserved; very well put together. Then moments later at the dinner party the two of you were joking with each other. To make you laugh she started signing and dancing in her chair trying ever so hard to embarrass you. The more we talked the more I realized what a special person she was. She loved her children but more importantly she loved her grandbabies! More than anything, Lesli, showed me how thoughtful and selfless she was. She had such a special place in her heart for you. I'm sure you feel empty inside right now but remember you still have the memories. No one can take memories away from you. Jeremy and I will continue to pray that God will give you comfort and strength you need in your grieving. Cherish the memories and hold them close to your heart. Lots of Love, Danielle & Jeremy
