Lesli Jo Stone (Ward)

Lesli Jo Stone (Ward), 49 of Ohioville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.Born  October 25, 1968, she was the daughter of Donald N. Stone of Monaca and the late Betsy L. (Zgela) Stone.  Lesli attended St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in South Heights, was a member of the Midland Sportsmen’s Club and Monaca Turners, coached both  Hopewell and Monaca girls softball teams and enjoyed spending time at the seashore. Employed at Penn State Beaver as a chef for the past 26 years, Lesli’s greatest vocation  in life was to be a mom.Lesli leaves her children, Maci , Billy and Jenna, her fiancé John Ward, all  of Ohioville, a sister, Barbara (Mark) Brummitt of Monaca; a brother, DJ (Sara) Stone of Monaca; six nephews, Michael Caltury, Tony (Beth Rosatone) Caltury, Adam (Erica) Caltury, Evan, Avery, and Jayce Stone; four nieces,  Sara (Sean) Regan, Katie (Glenn) Brummitt, Addison Caltury and  Sydney Regan, her former mother in law, Betty Lou Fowler, future father and mother in law, Dick and Joan Ward, future brothers in law; Marty (Debbie) Ward and Rick (Karen) Ward. She also leaves her Uncle Noble (Janet) Stone, Uncle Steve (Amy) Zgela, Aunt Esther Edwards, Aunt Betty (Joe) Cady, and her best friend, Lyna Kibler. She was known as “Aunt Sis” to all.Friends will be received on Monday from 5-8 pm and Tuesday from 2-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where parting prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30 am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St John the Baptist Catholic Church., Monaca.  Father Michael Ruffalo and Father Lou Vallone will be the celebrants.  Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lesli’s memory to the Lesli Jo Family Fund, c/o Farmers Building and Savings Bank, 290 West Park, Rochester, Pennsylvania 15074.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
