Lillian Guinto McDowell, 88, of Center Township passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010, in the Villa of St. Joseph, Baden. She was the wife of the late Adam B. McDowell.
Born January 23, 1922, in Monaca, she was one of seven children of the late Gregorio and Alessandra Guinto. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Monaca. She was a retired employee of the Beaver County Geriatric Center and the Monaca Turners.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Becky McDowell; three grandchildren and their spouses, Carrie and Ben Piper, Bill and Jill McDowell and Dan and Julia McDowell, all of Center Township. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Stephanie and Brinley and a sister, Rose DeLuca.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Pico, Vincent Guinto, Michael Guinto and Alfred Guinto and a sister, Phyllis Guinto.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
