Loretta Anita Smith, 92 of New Sewickley Township formerly of Beaver Falls went to be with Jesus Christ her Savior on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Her passing occurred at her home.Born in Midway, Washington County she was the daughter of the late Albert Patterson and Ella Toleda (Varley) Emler. As a young lady, Loretta worked several years as an enameller at Ing-Rich Manufacturing in Beaver Falls. She devoted a great deal of her life to the charitable outreach projects of the Salvation Army, starting with Young People Sergeant Major. For the past 20 years, Loretta has been a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Monaca where she held numerous offices including church treasurer. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets and bed spreads and most recently, attending activities at Life BeaverLoretta leaves a son, Pastor John Watson and his wife Peggy Jean and a daughter Billie Jo Heisler and her husband, John. Three grandchildren; Victoria (Robert) Ciccone, William (Beth) Watson, and Wayne Tate and his family. Seven great grandchildren; Joshua Mudrick, Rocco Cantanzarite, Ashton O’Brien, Brianna, Brendan, Kaitlyn and Erin Watson. Many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Harry Smith and a granddaughter, Rebecca Watson. The youngest of five children, she was also preceded by two brothers; George and Albert “Bud” Emler and two sisters; Pearl Lallement, and Ella Shotton.Friends will be received in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca on Monday, April 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Her son, the Reverend John Watson will officiate.
