Louis Carosa, Sr., age 89, known as Lou, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Lou was born in Aliquippa to the late Sabatino and Leona (Hollenbaugh) Carosa and was a proud lifelong resident of Aliquippa. He was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, Class of 1952. Lou was a hardworking individual having retired from LTV Steel and Sears and Roebuck.
In addition to his parents, Lou was predeceased by his siblings, Lucy Carosa Colangelo and Richard Carosa, as well as his beloved grandson, Kevin G. Carosa. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara “Toby” Carosa, devoted children: Louis G. Carosa, Jr. (Trudy Schrodt), Karen Carosa and Christine (George) Piccioni; his loving sister, Elaine Carosa Coffey of CA.; and his cherished grandchildren, Kathleen and Kelly Carosa, Carmen, Gabriel and Christian Piccioni. .
He was a proud member of the Celtic Reds Club, where he forged many lasting friendships. Lou’s interests included photography, football, nature walks and chatting with neighbors.
Lou’s final year was spent in the loving care of the amazing caregivers at Franciscan Manor. Their support and dedication to Lou’s well-being were instrumental in ensuring that his final days were spent in comfort..
In closing, we honor the memory of Louis Carosa, Sr., a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Private interment will take place at Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
