Lucille Burkhammer

Lucille (Lucy) Burkhammer, 92, formerly of Center Township passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.Born on April 16, 1925 in Morgansville, West Virginia, to Clarence and Lovie (Childres) Murphy.  Lucille married Eugene Burkhammer on December 25, 1941 and had shared 54 years of marriage at the time of his death on July 19, 1994.  She was employed by the former St. Joe Lead for 31 years as a cook and pie baker until her retirement in 1978.  Lucille later owned and operated Agape Care Center for eight years.  She was a member of the Christian Assembly Church, Baden.Lucille is survived by four grandsons; Eugene ‘Ron’ Burkhammer, Jr., Sean R. Burkhammer, James Burkhammer, and Josh Burkhammer, numerous great grandchildren and two sisters; Juanita Mavero of Rochester Township and Nina Morris of Brighton Township.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, her son Dr. E. R. Burkhammer, Sr., and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Burkhammer.Friends will be received on Thursday at 2:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, Monaca with Pastor Donald W.
