Magdalene L. “Nan” Lamberto, 85, of Ambridge, formerly of Monaca, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her residence.Born January 14, 1932 in Monaca, Nan was a daughter of Anthony and Minnie (Matsook) Nunzir. She worked as a clerk for a number of years at the former Callaghan’s Pharmacy, later known as Hometown Apothecary. Nan was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca. Her interests included reading, knitting and playing bingo. She was a member of the Monaca American Legion Post #580, a former member of the Monaca Midget Auxiliary and Monaca Band Parents.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lamberto on September 18, 1976, a daughter Becki O’Brien, and a great grandson.She leaves a son, Michael (Barbara) Lamberto of Ambridge and a daughter Kathleen Castillo of Reno, Nevada, six grandchildren; Rachel Jones, CJ Machewicz, Joey Lamberto, Nicole Matta, and Sarah and Anthony Castillo, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Rita Hanshe of Monaca.Friends will be received on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
