Margaret M. Sargeson, (Margie) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 17th, 2023. She was 89 years old and left peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Margie was born on March 2nd, 1934 to Marianna and Giuseppi Ursida. She grew up in Beaver Falls, PA with six siblings: Lawrence, Dominick, Frank, Salvatore, Frances, and Joseph. She also had a sister in Italy, Mrs. Angelina Santura. Margie was married to the late Thomas Sargeson Sr. of Monaca, PA. Their union was blessed with five children: the late Mary-Kay (Louis), Thomas (Grace), Susan, “Margie” (Larry), and Joseph (Gloria). Margie & Tom spent 67 wonderful years together and truly shined on the dance floor with their jitterbug. Together they raised children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Margie enjoyed life and loved to dance, joke around, play Bingo, and smoke cigarettes. Playing cards was one of her favorite things to do. “Mom” was also quite the prankster who always made you laugh. She was a loving caregiver and homemaker who was always ready to help someone out. She took great pride in her family and was an inspiration to others. Margie leaves to cherish her memory her surviving children: Tommy, Sue, Margie, and Joey; her grandchildren: Christina, Anthony (Lisa), Desiree, Kayla, Hannah, Mariko, John, Nicholas, Ritchie, Cassandra, Cierra, and Noah. Her great-grandchildren include Dane, Sophia, Arabella, Chyenne, Ever, Greyson, Ahna, Jackson, Evie and one on the way! Margie was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, (especially two special nieces Audrey and Patty), special friend, Jennie Yost and a host of extended family and friends. “Mama Sarge” was a true Italian Queen, the reason for the added spice in our genes. Her fiery spirit will live on in us all. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Thursday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca. To leave online condolences, view Margie’s video tribute, get directions and add photos, please visit www.simpsonfuneralhome.com.
