Marjorie (Price) Johnston, of Center Township went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Born April 3, 1927, Marjorie was an only child born to the late David Price and Frances (Craft) Price Barth. She was a graduate of Ambridge High School, class of 1945. For 26 years, Marjorie was a devoted employee of the Atomic Energy Commission and the Energy Research and Development Administration’s Shippingport branch office.
She and her late husband, Charles spent most of their married lives living together in Monaca. They both were faithful members of the First Presbyterian Church of Monaca where Marjorie served over the years as an elder, clerk of sessions, sang in the choir and a longtime member of the Presbyterian Women. She was always the first to offer to serve in any capacity. Marjorie was also an intelligent individual who loved to engage in lively conversion about politics and current events.
She leaves two nephews: Thomas (Patricia) Johnston and Charles (Marilyn) Johnston and a niece, Nancy Morris. She will also be missed by all of her church family who loved and respected her.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Sunday, September, 26 from 2pm until the time of service at 5 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Private entombment will take place on Monday at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
