Mary Ann (Stack) Cronin, 87, of Monaca, passed away on Sunday morning, November 12, 2023, surrounded by family and friends, in her Moon Township home, where she most recently resided.

Born on June 19, 1936, n Beaver, PA. she was the daughter of the late Richard and Catherine (Maxwell) Stack. She was a Catholic by faith and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church – Mary Queen of Saints Parish. A graduate of Beaver High School, she spent her leisure time reading and playing card games with her grandchildren, She was a homemaker and a loving mother to six, grandmother to seventeen, and great grandmother to five.

In addition to her parents and all of her five siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis “Jerry” Cronin, her daughter, Denise (Walt) Thomas, and granddaughter, Ashley Cronin.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis ‘Tim’ and Debra (Brush) Cronin, Aurora, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia (O’Brien) Cronin, Beaver; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Michelle (Primo) Cronin, Monaca; a son-in-law, Walter Thomas, Conneaut Lake; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Timothy Smith, Monaca; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and James Devey, Moon Township.

Friends will be received Friday, November 17, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, 724-728-4000 www. simpsonfuneralhome.com Here, a private Catholic service will be conducted Saturday morning at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made, in her name, to Monaca Public Library, 998 Indiana Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061 as she and her husband passionately supported it.
