Mary H. Hurray, 97, of Monaca, went to heaven Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Born December 5, 1915, in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Rodenic Hado. Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Andy, her husband, Robert S. Hurray in 1980, a step-daughter, Lois Cooper, a brother, Michael Hado and a sister, Helen Pribonic. She faithfully served as a school crossing guard in Monaca for over 20 years. Following knee and hip replacement surgeries, the strong-willed Mary convinced her doctor to let her return to ?her? corner at Marshall and Eckert Roads sooner rather than later because of her love for ?her kids?.She will be sadly missed by her children, Roberta Houser and her husband, Dennis, of Monaca and Dr. Alvie S. Hurray and his wife, Janice, of San Juan Bautista, California; three step-children, Dick Hurray, Polly Hurray Wright and her husband, Terry, and Gloria Hurray Loretz, all of Ohio; her grandchildren, David (Lina) Houser and Christopher (Heidi) Houser; two special step-granddaughters and their spouses, Sue (Jeffrey) Lucas and Kathy (James) Cummings; her four precious great-grandchildren, Tanner and Cassidee Houser and McKenna and Emma Houser, whom she lovingly adored and five step-great-grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sarah) Lucas and their daughter, Avery; Katie Lucas, Stephanie Lucas, James Cummings and Tara Cummings. She is also survived by a sister, Ann Pyecha of Monaca and a numerous other step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their families.
