Mary H. Lindemann, 94, of Monaca, answered the call of the Lord, Sunday, March 24, 2013. Mary had resided at Friendship Ridge for the past few years.
Born September 24, 1918, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary W. Gassmann Lindemann. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1936, she was employed in the office as a scheduling clerk in the Tin Plate Department of J&L Steel, Aliquippa. Mary was a lifelong and faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca. In her leisure time she loved sewing, cooking and solving crossword puzzles. Mary hosted many family dinners at her home on Washington Avenue.
She will be sadly missed by her brother, Luther B. Lindemann of Brighton Township and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by five brothers, George W., Daniel S., Henry E., Fredrick R. and Carl J. Lindemann and three sisters, August K., Dorothy W. and Rose V. Lindemann.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 27th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. Her pastor, Rev. Robert Strobel, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061.
