Mary M. Budacki, 82, of Monaca, passed away early Friday morning, January 20, 2012, at Hertiage Valley Beaver, following a brief illness.
Born October 19, 1929, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late John and Barbara (Jakocic) Budacki. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1947, Mary was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca, where she served in the weekly routines of the church. Mary was a retiree of the former Westinghouse Electric Company in Beaver, where she retired as a secretary. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling in a weekly league in Baden. Mary kept a beautiful flower garden and spent her leisure time completing word search puzzles.
She will be sadly missed by her brother, Walter Budacki; three sisters, Diane (late Donald) McPherson, Catherine Budacki and Rosemary Budacki; a sister-in-law, Marian Budacki, all of Monaca and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John, and a sister, Ann Kochanowski and her husband, Charles.
Friends will be received Monday, January 23rd, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where parting prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Rev. Fr. George Chortos, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
