Mary Schwarz

Mary Schwarz, 92 a longtime resident of Monaca passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 following a brief illness. She had been able to keep her independence until recently.

Born in Logstown (Aliquippa), she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Gregor.

Mary was a retiree of Phoenix Glass Company, Monaca where she was employed in the shipping department with 42 years of service. A sports enthusiast, she was a lifelong Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. She was a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca and the Croatian Fraternal Union

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William H. ‘Buffalo’ Schwarz and a brother, John Gregor.

She leaves three brothers in law and their spouses, John Dan (Paula) Schwarz, Ron (Debbie) Schwarz and Tim Schwarz. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 13th from 10:30 am until the time of a blessing service at 11 am in the  Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Interment will follow in Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
