Mary T. Lyon

Mary Taylor Lyon Formerly of Monaca Mary Taylor Lyon, 81, died peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Rochester Manor and Villa in Rochester, Pa., with her family at her side. She was born August 14, 1937, in Monaca, Pa., to the late Anna G. Taylor and Donald J. Taylor. Mary was a graduate of Marjorie Webster Junior College (Washington, DC) and retired from Michael Baker Corporation in 2003. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Lyon II of Aliquippa, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Marta Lyon of Winston-Salem, N.C.; sister, Ann T. Curran of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and two nieces, Amy Burwinkle and Molly Higgins. Mary had three special aunts in Pauline, Mamie and Libby and three lifelong friends in Margarite, Susan, and Mary Ellen. A special thank you to the staff of Rochester Manor 4th Floor which Mary called home for the past three years and Mother Teresa Hospice of Monaca for making her last few days on this earth peaceful. Her son Robert would like to give thanks to the entire Bellini family, Gina and Dave Robson, Elaine and Robert Bodnar and the three Kohl’s Angels for their special friendship during this journey.
