Mildred M. “Millie” Wyatt, 89, of Beaver, passed away peacefully into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family at her side on February 7, 2018. She is now reunited for eternity with the love of her life, Bill.
Born March 29, 1928 in Ambridge, PA, the first two daughters of the late Thomas Varecha and Anna Anastasia Yoder. Millie married the love of her life, Walter H. “Bill” Wyatt on May 18, 1944, In Charleston, SC and moved to Monaca where she lived most of her life.
Millie was a homemaker and raised three wonderful children. She was also blessed with a wonderful son and daughter in law, that she loved as her own. She was employed at the Monaca Men’s and Boys Store, Rochester Motor Coach and Wyatt’s Fresh Fish and Seafood in Monaca. While her children were young, she was very active in the Third Ward PTA. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and making memories. She especially cherished the memories made on the many family vacations with her kids and grandkids to Nags Head. So many precious and irreplaceable memories were made there.
Millie was a very kind, generous and loving person. Everyone that met her fell in love with her and she always held a special place in their heart. She was truly one of a kind and there will never be another like her. She never forgot a birthday and somehow made sure the card always arrived on your exact birthday. She had a smile that would brighten the darkest day, always a shoulder to cry on and was just a phone call away if you needed to talk and making every day better. She was a bright light and had an amazing sense of humor. Her mind was sharp and if anyone could not remember anything we would always say “ask mom.”
She was the true matriarch of her family, she leaves behind to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy her children, Marilyn Wyatt who she made her home, William (Sherry) Wyatt of Center Township, Rebecca (Ronnie) Herman of Warren, OH; four grandchildren, Shane McKay-Herman, Erin Seevers, Stacie (Daniel) Sisler, Jr. and Melissa Herman and six great-grandchildren, Shane Seevers, Madison and Peyton Sisler, Kaylie Zygadlo, Ashton and Wyatt Glatz. She is also survived by her sister, Marie A. Smith of Wexford, PA and her niece and nephew, Lisa Behm and Lowell Smith, who spent a lot of time with her over the years making memories.
In addition to her parents, Milllie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Walter “Bill” Wyatt whom she lost on February 14, 2009.
Friends will be received on Saturday from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, followed by interment at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the very attentive nurses and staff on Good Samaritan Hospice Unit in Heritage Valley Hospital for their kindness, support and compassionate, loving care. Thank you also for sharing your stories of your time with her and the impact she made on you in the short time she was there. They would also like to thank her longtime physician, Dr. Predergast as well as Dr. Sestito for your countless hours and loving care of our sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
