Nancy A. Goldbach, 70 of Monaca, a woman of faith and love, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2023 after a five-year battle with cancer. Born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late Ferdinand “Fred” and Anna Voskuhl Goldbach. She was the sister of the late Ferdinand “Fred” A. Goldbach and his wife Carol, the loving aunt of Ferdinand “Fred” J. (Jill) Goldbach, Heidi Menzl, Gretchen (Mike) Krasneski, and the late Charles Goldbach and the adored great-aunt of Natalie, Annemarie, Hannah, Loralei, Garrett, Meah, and Thomas. Nancy also leaves behind her three beloved fur babies, Princess, Stars, and Tigger, who brought her immeasurable joy and comfort.
Nancy was a former employee of Hussey Copper and Allegheny Plastics. Then she served as an online tech support agent at PA Cyber Charter School.
Nancy was a woman of many interests and passions. She was an avid traveler and had the opportunity to explore the historical and cultural richness of Europe. She found solace in the tranquility of her garden, where she spent hours nurturing her plants. She was a skilled bowler, an activity that brought her much joy and camaraderie. Her love for the film “Sound of Music” was well known among her family and friends, as was her talent for playing the clarinet.
Nancy was a woman of deep faith. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life, grounding her in times of uncertainty and uplifting her in times of joy.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit on Sunday, August 13th from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca (724 728 4000) where a recitation of the Rosary will take place on Sunday at 6:40 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 14th at 11 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 326 S. Main Street (West End), Pittsburgh, PA. 15220. Interment will follow in St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Monaca.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made in Nancy’s memory if desired to St. James Roman Catholic Church.
