Nancy D. Miller Dinsmore, 74, of Monaca, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 28, 2016, at Heritage Valley Sewickley.Born May 1, 1941, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late Paul Sr., and Hazel (Slater) Miller. After graduation, Nancy found employment at Westinghouse Electric, Beaver, where she worked on the assembly line. She retired from there to marry the love of her life, Thomas G. ‘Spanky’ Dinsmore, on March 25, 1968, and together they raised three children, Stacey, Tammy and Thomas, Jr. ‘Spanky’. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. An accomplished cook and baker, Nancy was especially known for her delicious pies. She was a lifetime member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and when her girls were young, she served as a mother advisor for Assembly #51 in Rochester. In addition to working at the Beaver County Courthouse, Nancy also worked at the refreshment stand at the Monaca Swimming Pool. She was a former member of the Monaca School Board and an elder and former member of First Presbyterian Church of Monaca. More recently she attended Monacrest Free Methodist Church in Monaca. Nancy was a founder of the Sandy McKay Nolder Leukemia Fund in 1980, which raised approximately $12,000 to offset medical expenses for Mrs. Nolder, with the remainder of the funds used to purchase Christmas banners and brackets for Monaca in Sandy’s memory. She also had quite an extensive collection of tea pots and Santa Clauses.She will be sadly missed by her husband, Tom; three children, Stacey, Tammy and her companion, Rob Divil, and Thomas, Jr. ‘Spanky’; the light of her life, granddaughter Jordan Dinsmore; two sisters, Melinda McCabe of Rochester and Patty Bartkowiak in Illinois and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Miller, Jr., in November 2015.Friends will be received Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 5:30 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Rev.
