Naomi “Boots” (McLaughlin) McClain, 92 of Monaca, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Rochester Manor.
Raised in the Aliquippa area, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred (Harris) McLaughlin. Naomi was united in marriage to Harold A. “Hack” McClain, Sr. in 1957. Hack preceded her in death on June 24, 2005. Naomi’s Christian faith was an important part of her life. For years, she was a faithful member of the Crestmont Alliance Church, Hopewell Township where she sang in the church choir. She later was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Beaver. Naomi enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a retiree of the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit with over 25 years of employment.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Val Davis, Roberta Davis, and three brothers, Joe, Dick, and Jim McLaughlin.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Linda (Chuck) Cecela of Clinton, Janet (Bill) Maier of Rochester Township, and Harold A. “Hal”, Jr. (Kathy) McClain of Monaca, her grandchildren, Sarah Adams (T.J.), Charles S. Cecela, Jr., Robert Adams (Francesca), Stephanie (Scott) Shiderly, Jason Maier (Jenna), Brian (Brandi) McClain, and Brittany (Ricky) Schultz, six great grandchildren: Jayden, Charlie, Hazen, Finnegan, Ronin, and Addie, a sister, Marie Salvati, and her brothers, Bill (Kay) McLaughlin, and John H. “Jack” (Rae) McLaughlin, and a sisters in law, Patty Swink & Marge.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in Union Cemetery, Monaca.
Due to COVID-19 wearing a mask and social distancing will be required.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christopher Gehrlein and the third floor staff of Rochester Villa Manor for the exceptional care Naomi received.
