Nicholas M. Selepec, 68 of Monaca passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.Born February 5, 1947, Nick was raised in Midland, a son of the late Nicholas and Susan (Kashi) Selepec.Following graduation from Midland High School, Nick honorably served in the U S Air Force from 1966 to 1969 obtaining the rank of S/Sgt. He was a retiree of Hussey Copper, Leetsdale and a member of the Green Valley Gun Club, Eastvale Boat Club and the Monaca United Methodist Church. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing.Nick leaves his wife of 29 years, Cheryl Pillo Selepec, whom he married on Sept 20, 1986. Five children: Nichole Parks, Tiffany (Thomas) Fedorko, Michael Selepec, Christopher (Heather) Selepec and Paul Compton. Six grandchildren: Veronica Parks, Alexandria Selepec, Robert and Garrett Daniels, Alex and Erin Fedorko.. A brother, Joseph Petroff and three sisters, Katherine Harbough, Helen (Jerry) Canney and Irene Lemasters. Numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Robert Petroff, William Selepec and Margaret Bell.A viewing and funeral service was held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. His pastor, the Reverend David R. Very, very saddened by Nick's most sudden, and unexpected, passing. I'll always remember our visits together at 209 Elm, and at Tom and Tiff's. I'll always visualize Nick on the boat that he would talk about with pure joy, and delight....how much he missed that boat, and being on the river.Setting sail, Nick, once again now on a boat ride through the infinite journey of all. I will continue to pray for the repose of your soul(on the other side).Remember, love that is shared by people in this life, will never die in the spirit realm. His soul needs many, many sincere, well-intentioned prayers to help him come ever closer to his Creator.Prayer for all of us, Nick, who are left behind on this planet of purpose and lessons.
