Oliver Thomas “Tom” Hill, Jr., 79, of Center Township, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, February 26, 2015. Born April 15, 1935, in Monaca, he was a son of the late Oliver Thomas Sr. and Margaret Jean (Irons) Hill. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1953, Tom was an electrician with IBEW Local #712, retiring with over 43 years of service and a founding member of the IBEW Credit Union. He was the former owner of the Skyview Lounge and T&P Supply Company both in Center Township. Tom was currently employed by the Beaver County Sherriff’s Department at the Beaver County Court House. Tom was a faithful member of Monaca United Methodist where he served as head usher and was a member of several committees. A member and past master of Union Lodge #259 F&AM, New Brighton, he was a life member of Rochester Owls, a social member of Monaca Turners where he belonged to the golf league and a member of Monaca Methodist Bowling League. Tom was a longtime committeeman for Center Township Democratic Committee. He also was a Pittsburgh season ticket holder.He will be sadly missed by his beloved and devoted wife, Sara A. ‘Putzie’ (Hesser) Hill; three children, Vicki Suehr and her husband, Scott, Beth Ann Nelson and her husband, Larry, all of Center Township and Jeffery Hill of Monaca; two step-daughters, Debra Lynn DeCristoforo and her husband, Victor, of Akron, Ohio, and Catherine Marie Hogan and her husband, Kelly, of Brighton Township; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Hill (Fran Tadora) of Rochester and Bruce (Linda) Hill of Center Township; a sister, Brenda (Ed) Montgomery of North Canton, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Delores Hill of Conway and Anita Hill of Beaver; a brother-in-law, John (Donna) Hesser of Monaca; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents Tom was preceded in death by a son, Randall Thomas Hill; three brothers, Earl, Wilbert and Richard Hill and a sister, Margaret Jean Mullenax.Friends will be received Saturday, February 28th, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca.
