Patricia Hawkins, 72, of Hopewell, passed away on February 19th surrounded by her loved ones.
Patricia grew up on a farm with many siblings, and lots of chickens. She was a caring sister and devoted daughter, and at family events there were always lots of funny stories, laughs, and love. She was first and foremost a loving Mother who gave everything to her children. You could see the love in her eyes and that only grew stronger when her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren arrived. AKA M&M Grandma, there were always treats on hand. She loved us all deeply and unconditionally and was always up for a bit of bargain shopping.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Louanna Betke, her brothers Baby Bobby, Sonny (Alice), Carl (Ginny), Butch (Sadie), Harry (Joyce), Jim (Judy), a sister Baby Sissy, and her dear nephews Bobby and Jimmy. She recently said a final goodbye to her husband, Charles Hawkins. Patricia is survived by her sisters Jean Gray (Joe), Wanda “Goof” Roberts (Jim), Wanietta “Babydoll” McNeill (Bob), brother Roy Betke, sons, Chuck Stark (Bev), Bill Hawkins (Heather), stepsons Bob Everly (Nova), Chuck Hawkins (Dawn) and John Hawkins (Barb), her daughter Cathy Griffith (Trent) and stepdaughters Carla Bratschie (Sam), Becky (Jim) Enderton and Roxanne Anskate. She will forever be the Angel watching over us and her Grandchildren and her Great-Grandchildren.
Mom was the most gentle and kind person in this world. Her final wishes were to not hold any service, so the family requests that everyone be more kind and loving to others in her memory.
