Dear Pat - This is for me but it is my hope that some how you can see this. I hope we did you proud on Sunday. Over and over I heard how you left us way too soon but with the years you were with us you touched so many people over the course of your life. We've all gone to things like this before you and Linda were always so great at functions like this. I tried my best to be an adequate substitute for you at Linda's side. But you left big shoes to fill. I tried my best to convey to each and every person I met that their coming meant so much to us, and it did. We, my family and I, are deeply wounded by your passing and having unfortunately gone through this before with Barbara I know this won't pass soon if at all. Seeing family we've only seen briefly over the years and friends of Mom and Dad or you, Linda, Barbara, or me was a shot in the arm that I think we (Mom, Dad, Me and Linda) needed. People got in their car and drove to the funeral home for the sole purpose of saying farewell and to take some sorrow away with a smile and an embrace. Most if not all will never fully know how much that meant to us. They did it out of love, out of duty, and friendship and we reaped the enormous benefit of their generosity of spirit. My faith is very important to me and although we may not fully know what lies ahead for us after our time here has passed I will hopefully gain comfort in the knowledge that love transcends those boundaries and ensures we will again smile in each other's presence again. Love Ray J.

Words cannot express my sorrow at this time. I will always remember my last visit with Pat when we reminisced about the good times we shared in our youth. Even through Pat was battling for her life, she never lost her sense of humor and zest for life. Millie, you are like my second Mom and I love you and your family dearly. Pat was a fighter and she aspired to great levels in her career. She was very driven and motivated and overcame many obstacles and barriers to achieve what she did. I will miss Pat, that is for sure. But she has taught me to live every day to the fullest and embrace every day because there are so many people like Pat who fight so hard to live. There are no guarantees, for sure. I will try not to take anything for granted. Rest in peace, my friend. I love you,LaVerne

Nilda & I share your loss. I did manage to correspond with Patty a few times in the last couple of years about the family genealogy, and was always impressed with her dedication to it. She will be missed.
