My deepest sympathy to Paul's Family and Friends. I was deeply saddened when I just found out about Paul passing away. I lost touch with Paul when I was transferred to Charlotte, NC. Paul touched many kids lives helping them to realize their dream to fly. Many of them are doing just that today, flying for a living. I like to think, Paul now serves a higher importance serving as an angel of flight sitting behind young pilots guiding them his steady hand. Paul, you will be sorely missed. I wish you fair winds and clear skies, old friend. Sincerely, George K Rozinak LCDR USNR-RET Rock Hill, SC

My deepest and most sincere condolences go out to Paul's family. I am a former student of Paul's, and his tutelage enriched not just my flight training, but my life as well. He will be missed.

For you Paul ~who was blessed by God to “dance the skies on laughter-silvered wings” ________________________________________ High Flight: Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew - And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God. Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee This poem I offer in remembrance of our “King Paulie” who loved God, my sister and flying. Thanks be to God, our “Master Weaver” who wove our lives together. I met Paul because he and my sister, Cindy fell in love, married and “enlarged their tents” … blending together many beautiful people and families who, otherwise, would never have met. I will remember the family get-togethers, camp fires with eclectic conversations, pleasurable cups of coffee and your really good hugs. Every morning you bring a warm remembrance when I froth the milk before pouring it in my just coffee ~just like you showed me ~thanks Paul. I will miss your unique “King Paulie” perspectives, straight-forward humor and your patriotic spirit. Oh, the things Paul did for my sister… “King Paulie” had a huge heart that allowed many creatures: large and small…abandoned or broken to find refuge with Cindy and he…many birds, many dogs …even Peaches the Pig! A.k.a. Chloe I can close my eyes and see how lovingly he cared for the “aviary” of feathered friends that found refuge in the Ramsey abode. Please know our prayers will continue for you Cindy and for all who are joined together in special bond by knowing, Paul Ramsey …to his circle-of-family-and-friends … may the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort wrap us all in His love. Yes Paul, you “have slipped the surly bonds of earth” but we know where you are and Whose you are…and we shall meet again. Love and huge hugs, Fay and Noah Marmalich-Vietmeier

We wanted to pass along our condolences to Cindy, Barb and the entire Ramsey family. I will always remember Paul for his happy go lucky personality and witty humor along with his zest for life. Most of my memories of Paul are based on the many times I was invited to his house for birthday picnics for Hannah, Matt and Rachel and I always remember me and Paul taking turns stoking the camp fire until it would become more of a Texas A&M bonfire !!!!! Paul was always gracious to us and made us feel more than welcome in his home. May he spend eternity with God in heaven.

Heaven has a new Marine gate guard. Private Rummzee, as Paul referred to himself, is now standing guard at the pearly gates and regaling St. Peter and all who enter with stories as only Paul could tell them.

I am so sad to lose my uncle Paul, but I hurt more for the families that love him and who are left here on Earth. Though our families have drifted apart over the years, I still hold many memories close to my heart. The one that is most memorable to me is when I attended a church service with the family and Paul was just bubbling with happiness, excitement, and faith. I find it so comforting to know that Paul KNEW the LORD.
