Paul E. Rose, 62 of Rochester, a loving family man and provider, 62, passed away unexpectantly on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Paul was born in Rochester, the son of the late Melvin and Shirley (Strobel) Rose. He was employed by St. Joe Lead, later Horsehead Corporation as Assistant Furnace Plant Superintendent and at Eaton Corporation.
He was a 1978 graduate of Freedom High school and was awarded the Beaver County Times Traveling Trophy as a Senior in 1977. He was inducted to the Freedom Gridiron Greats in May 2021.
Paul was a member as a Son of American Legion Post 580, Rochester Owls Nest 1822, Freedom SOI, and the Monaca Coronet Bandroom. He was an avid Steelers Fan, enjoyed playing golf and loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Paul was also a current member of New Hope Lutheran Church, Economy Boro.
He leaves his cherished wife Cheryl, daughters Sheri (Leroy) McGee of Twentynine Palms, CA, Cassie Rose of New Sewickley, Cheyenne (Eric) Riley of New Brighton, three grandchildren, Amelia and Mischa McGee and Brooke Glies, two sisters, Darla (Rich) Lucas and Terri (Jeff) Ruckert and two brothers, Vince (Chris) Rose and Gary “Pork” (Debbie) Rose, and brother-in-law Ted (Nancy) Eder.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Laithum Rose, father and mother-in-law Harry and Alice Eder, brother-in-law Wayne Eder and sister-in-law Charlene Witherow.
Friends will be received on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM. With Paul’s son-in-law Leroy McGee will be officiating.
