Perri L. Fronk, 76, of Monaca, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 9, 2014, in the emergency department at Heritage Valley Beaver.Born May 22, 1938, in Monaca, he was the last surviving child of Earl S. and Margaret (Grime) Fronk. Perri joined the US Navy in 1955 and proudly served his country until his discharge in 1963. His service continued for a number of years as chaplain of the Beaver County Special Unit and a life member and past chaplain of the American Legion Post #580, Monaca. Perri was employed as a foreman at St. Joe Lead in Potter Township, retiring after 27 ½ years. A faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca, he served on the parish council, was a member and past president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and a past president of St. John the Baptist School’s Parent-Teacher Guild. Perri coached minor league baseball when his children were young.He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, Maryjo (Morgan) Fronk, with whom he was united in marriage on May 20, 1960, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Freedom; seven children, Perri Fronk II and his wife, Cynthia, of Industry, Rev. Christopher Fronk, S.J., serving as a chaplain in the US Navy at Norfolk, Va.; Bruce Fronk and his wife, Jacqueline, of Brighton Township, Brian Fronk of Corry, Pa., Patrick Fronk and his wife, Lynn, of Clovis, N.M., Darren Fronk and his wife, Kathyjo, of Medina, Ohio and Marianne Slater and her husband, Scott, of Aliquippa; 20 grandchildren, Erin (Alex) Sebastian, Lauren (Dakota) Unwin, Isabell, Brian, Brandon, Nicholas, Jonah, Bruce, Patricia, Chalee, Devan, Chandler and Coleson Fronk, Sydney and Riley Slater, Seth and Trey Baker, Bobby (Molly), Josh and Jenna Myers; a great-granddaughter, Julia Sebastion and his treasured dog, ‘Hunter’.In addition to his parents Perri was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1963, a brother, Earl Fronk in 1984 and a sister, Diane Meronski.Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at SCHLEIFER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 998 Atlantic Avenue, Monaca, where parting prayers will be offered Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Perri’s son, Rev.
