Peter A. Regalla, Sr., 93, of Monaca, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, May 19,2015, with his ‘best friends’ Toby Keith and Casie May, by his side.Born March 4, 1922, in Lycippus, Westmoreland County, he was the last surviving child of the late John and Catherine Regalla. Pete proudly served in the US Army during World War II. On February 21, 1944, he was united in marriage to Bernice M. (Fleischer) who preceded him in death on August 26, 2003. Pete was employed by J&L Steel, Aliquippa Works, for 42 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca and was an avid hunter and fisherman.Surviving are four children, Peter A. Regalla, Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Monaca, Joyce M. Dick of Willoughby, OH, Yvonne Regalla Norman, OK and Christine A. Regalla in Beaver; five grandchildren, David Paul Dick, Michael Richard Dick, Michael Joseph Regalla, Brenden Regalla and Shelly Regalla and two great-grandchildren, Sean and Kyle Loerzel.Friends will be received Friday, May 22nd, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
