Peter Joseph Caltury, Jr., 65, of Hopewell, formerly of Monaca, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born May 28, 1946, in Rochester, he was a son of Peter Joseph Caltury, Sr. of Monaca and the late Maryjane Hellman Caltury. Joe attended Monaca schools and was formerly employed by the school district and Phoenix Glass. He retired from PennDOT as a truck driver with 30 years of service.
In addition to his father Joe leaves to mourn his loss his wife of 16 years, Beverly R. Smith Caltury; a brother, Frank ?Thomas? Caltury of Columbus, OH; two aunts, Marianne Bianco of Monaca and Florence Hellman of Beaver and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his mother Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Janet, and a brother, John.
Friends will be received Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where a blessing service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. Fr. Edward Yuhas, interim pastor, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
