Phillip G Genova

Phillip Gene Genova, 86, of Darlington, died on Friday, February 16, 2018 after a brief illness at Heritage Valley, Beaver.  He was born on May 17, 1931 in Hillsville, PA to the late Mary (Romano) and Frank Genova.  A devoted husband of 66 years to the late Audrey Jean Genova who died on February 8, 2018.He worked as a welder for many years and as a plant supervisor for Carbon Limestone and Central Fuel Company.  Phil served as a Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star.  He was the father of six.Phil was preceded in death by his wife, granddaughter, Julie Rose Genova, a son, David Frank Genova, and his parents.He is survived by a daughter, Laura Orlando of New Castle, a son, Michael (Kellie) Genova of Darlington, a daughter, Sharon (John) Zerbe of Zelienople, a son, Paul (Norma) of Darlington, a son Douglas (Paula) of Munroe Falls, OH, many grandchildren, and a great grandson, Vincent Genova.A memorial service will be private.Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
