Ralph W. McKeever, 90 of Monaca and Center Twp. passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Rochester Villa. Born February 7, 1924 in Richmond, VA., he was one of four children born to the late Joseph and Ruth (Staten) McKeever. Ralph was a proud U. S. Marine Corps veteran who served his country in Okinawa during World War II. He was united in marriage to Margaret A. Spivey , the love of his life on November 24, 1944. This union of 65 years was blessed with three children: Margaret Ann (Robert) Mintz of Baltimore, Maryland, Richard Ralph (Shawna) McKeever of Wheeling, West Virginia and Robert Kelly (Cheryl) McKeever of Seven Fields. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McKeever on January 11, 2010. He was also preceded by a grandson, Robbie Mintz, a brother, Dalton McKeever and two sisters, Ruth Mary Leonella and Dorothy McIlroy. Ralph was an employee of Wychoff Steel in Ambridge for 45 years , a member of the Monaca American Legion Post #580 and a former member of the Rochester VFW. He was a devoted to the care of his adored wife, Margaret. Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 2nd from 3-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am,. The Reverend Lee Bittner, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Rochester will officiate. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.Full military honors will be provided by the Beaver County Special Unit on Wednesday at 11:45 am at the cemetery.The family extends a special thank you to all the staff and residents of Rochester Villa and Manor for the wonderful friendships and outstanding care provided to Ralph and Margaret for the past eight years.
