Rebecca Engelman passed over to be with her Lord on March 13 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1940 under oil lights on her grandparent’s farm near Smithfield, PA.
The daughter of the late Ada (Roderick) and Edward Switalski of Point Marion, PA. A graduate of Point Marion High School and the Fairmont West Virginia Business College.
Becky was a member of Monacrest Free Methodist Church. She served as Secretary for the Women’s Missionary Society for many years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Judith and brother-in-law Bill Deems, her sister Jane and brother-in-law Jerry Frankhouser, and her Aunt Beatrice Ruffner.
She is survived by her husband Lowell Engelman Sr. of 55 years, two sons Lowell Jr. (Debbie) Engelman and Eric Engelman all of Monaca. Three loving grandchildren Haley, Zachary and Hannah. Also by her three brothers Richard Switalski (Pearl), Point Marion PA, Wayne Switalski, Morgantown, WV, Greg Switalski (Cheryl) Garard’s Fort PA and sister Debra Lowther (Jim) of Greensboro PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday, March 20th from 4pm to 8pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21 from 10 am until the time of services at 11am at Monacrest Free Methodist Church, 996 Elmira Street, Monaca. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.
