Reida Mae (Thomas) Steffler, 93 of Monaca went home to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, March 29, 2019, peacefully in her home.Born May 13, 1925 in Houtzdale, PA.  Daughter of the late Daniel and Rena (Crago) Thomas.  She was a member of Monacrest Free Methodist Church.  Over the years she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Steward and was a Pianist/Organist for over 50 years.  She had a gentle spirit and showed God’s love in word and deed to family and friends.She will forever be remembered by those she leaves.  Two daughters; Ann Steffler of Monaca, Linda (James) Puckett of Baden, a son Lawrence Steffler of Monaca, and her grandchildren who she adored; Joshua (Kayla) Puckett, Nicole Puckett, Tammy Brown, and Joseph Polujan.  Great grandchildren; David Brown and Family, and Shawn Brown, a sister Barbara Crawford, Mentor, Ohio, three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thomas, Youngstown, Ohio, Mae (Wilbur) Mowen, Kansas, Audrey (Charles) Fogg, Mississippi, special nieces and nephews, close family friend, June Rodgers-Yoho, and her Monacrest Church family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Melvin E. Steffler in 2000, her brothers; Reverend Donald Thomas, James Thomas, Sr., and Quinten Thomas, brothers in law Ernie Crawford, Henry, Howard and Daniel Steffler, three sisters in law, Betty Thomas, Ortella Cowen, and Shirley Bradley, a grandson, David Polujan.Friends will be received on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.  Additional viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am at the Monacrest Free Methodist Church, Monaca with her nephew, Reverend Nathan Doyle officiating.  Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made, if desired to the Monacrest Free Methodist Church, 995 Elmira Street, Monaca, PA  15061.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
