Rena G. Moore, 96, of Potter Township, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Rochester Manor.Rena was born on July 4th, 1920, to the late Robert and Bertha Short. Rena was an incredibly strong, dignified and gracious woman who loved her family dearly. A woman of strong faith and conviction, she viewed the Bible as a pattern for life, for how God wanted her to live. For those and many other reasons, she was deeply respected and adored by anyone who knew her well.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Ruth A. Gearhart (Don Merriman) of Raccoon Township and her sons, Wesley (Julie) Francis of Patterson Township, Kenneth (Chris) Francis of Raccoon Township, Ralph O. (Marlea) Moore Jr. of Monaca, and Gary Moore of Brighton Township. She was a wonderful and shining example to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Short, of Chippewa Township and a sister-in-law, Mary Short of Hookstown.
