To the entire Katus family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Ric for over 16 years. Ric will be missed but certainly remembered. He was family to us, and I feel blessed to have crossed paths and journeyed with Ric.

Rick was a very good friend of mine. I have known him for years. He took me to my first ever pancake syrup festival at Bradys run park. He was so much fun to be around and made you laugh. He had the best sense of humor and outlook on life of anyone that I’ve ever known. His life was cut short and it’s not fair. I’m going to miss him terribly

Like so many Ric and I go back to high school. He was a remarkable friend that never met a stranger! I'm so blessed to have been able to call Ric my friend, well we all are. He always knew when you needed a laugh and was never afraid to call and ask for help. I'll remember you Ric with the fondest of memories and a warm heart. I will imagine you running with your beloved spot and dancing at the feet of our lord. Thank you for being my friend, I will miss you buddy. Xoxoxo

So sorry to hear about Rick. He would be at our home a lot with Ron and Heather. Our home was usually the meeting place before going out or just the hang out place for everyone. Rick would always come in and talk to my husband and I for awhile. He will be missed. Dorry D'Amico

Ric was a rare gem in this world ~ a genuine, caring, funny and authentic friend. My brothers and I grew up with Ric in Sunset Hills, and he was always kind and helpful to my husband, son, and I throughout the years…taking them fishing at the Sportsman’s Club, bringing me tiger lily plants for my yard, visiting with my pups (he especially loved our Beagles, Beau & Bear because of his precious pup, Spot), and leaving doggy biscuits in my mailbox for them. He always lent an ear to anyone in need, and he was so empathetic when we lost our beagle, Beau to kidney failure. Ric will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences to his sister and parents. We’re so saddened by his passing.
