Richard E. Sebastian

Richard E. Sebastian, 70, of Monaca, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 9, 2019.Born on August 23, 1948, Richard was the son of the late Patsy and Julia (Silla) Sebastian.  Passionate in his career, Richard was a teacher and guidance counselor for the East Liverpool School District for 30 years, earning his Bachelor’s degree at Youngstown State and his Master’s and Doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh.  Richard will be lovingly remembered by his brother, William “Chook” (Rosemary) Sebastian; nephews, William and Jeffery Sebastian; niece, Kristin Sebastian; great-nieces, Kingsley and Kennedy Sebastian; an a dear friend, Rosalie DeCarbo.  Richard will also be missed dearly by many close friends and family members.Attentive to Richard’s wishes, a private service will take place.  His family would like to thank Family Hospice, his nurse, Jodi, and aide, Dana for their heartfelt care.  Richard was a lifelong advocate of the Salvation Army.  To honor his memory, donations may be made in his name to the Salvation Army, 514 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, PA  15001.Arrangements entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com
