Rita Mae Ridjaneck

Rita Mae Ridjaneck, 84, a lifelong resident of Monaca passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Rochester Manor surrounded by her loving family.Born October 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Philominia (Schatzinger) Price.Rita was a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca and loved playing bingo at Center Stage.  Her family fondly remembers how Rita faithfully attended all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, John Ridjaneck in 1999. She was also predeceased by four brothers: Ira, Robert, John and ‘Bud’ Price and two sisters: Elizabeth Buckenheimer and Mary Catherine Casbourne .She leaves four children: John (Joanne) Ridjaneck of Center Township, Jim (Cheryl) Ridjaneck of Conway, Mary Jane  (Dan) Nunzir of Monaca and Dorothy Jean (Edziu) Waskaski of Monaca. Six cherished grandchildren: Mathew (Emily Ridjaneck, Mark ( fiancée, Jocelyn) Ridjaneck, Melissa Ridjaneck, Katelyn Ridjaneck, Jessica (fiancé,  Dominic) Waskaski, and Brad Waskaski. Two great grandchildren, Ryland and Lily Ridjaneck.  Rita also leaves her only surviving sister and best friend, Marjorie Barton of Monaca and a beloved niece, Sandra Guandolo whom she considered as a daughter.Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca  where prayers will be offered on Tuesday at 12:30 pm followed by a mass of Christian burial at 1pm in St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
