Robert A. Alonso, 58, of Monaca, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.Born March 13, 1956, in Rochester, he was a son of the late Manuel and Anna Alonso, Sr.  A graduate of Monaca High School, Bob was employed at Eaton Corp. in Beaver.  A CB and ham radio operator, he made many friends with his handle KA3ICW.  Bob also enjoyed exploring with a metal detector to find coins and various artifacts.  He will be remembered by many as a man who cared about people and made everyone he knew smile.He leaves to mourn his loss twin siblings, Carol Milligan and Manuel Alonso, Jr., both of Rochester and a nephew, Brian Lyautey of Weirton, W. Va.Graveside services were held on Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.Contributions in Bob’s memory may be made, if desired, to Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.To share online condolences and for other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com

Bob and I were neighbors growing up in Fifth Ward. We met riding the bus to St. John's School. He always liked my brother, Keith who was a Patrol Boy on the bus.
