Robert “Bob” A. Nebel

Robert (Bob) A. Nebel, 70, of Industry, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 in his home with his

wife and dog at his side. Bob was born in Butler in 1949. He was the son of the late Robert A. and

Eileen Nebel.

After graduating from IUP, Bob pursued a 40-year career in title insurance with First American Title

Insurance in various capacities as President, Manager, Licensed Title Agent and Settlement Officer.

In semi-retirement, he was manager of IBMA since 2009. Rather than accomplishments and

distinctions, Bob wished simply to be known as a “good man.” He pursued life to its fullest with no

regrets and frequently referred to his mission as “By God, what an adventure!”

Bob is survived by his loving wife Carol and loyal dog Piper; his sister Darlene (Robert) Hannush;

brother Randy Nebel, a sister in law, Melanie Zinkhan; his three daughters Christine (Terrance)

Sheffey, Maureen (Mark) Purcell, and Laura (Derek) Cepanec; his step-children Eric (Julie) Smith and

Dawn (Derrick) Hart; his grandchildren Scott, Tori, Dalton, Wyatt, Madison, Arianna, Claire, Elise,

Evelyn and RaeLynn; and his great-grandchildren Jacob and Bailey.

Per Bob’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

Carol - so sorry for your loss. Bob was a great person who I had the pleasure to work with for 5 years. I enjoyed all those late nights on the back porch swapping stories with Bob. He will be missed by all.Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
