Robert B. Pennington, 71, of West Aliquippa, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010, at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born July 24, 1939, in Beaver Falls, Robert was a son of the late Benjamin and Verna (Herr) Pennington. A 1957 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, he was a veteran of the US Army being honorably discharged in 1965. He retired from A & S Railroad as a heavy machine operator.

In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Pennington; a sister, Inez ?Dolly? Rockwell and a son, Gregory Daniel Pennington.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Pennington Zeiber and her husband, Charles Zeiber; two step-grandchildren, Missy Zeiber and Charles Zeiber Jr. as well as a brother, Rev. James Pennington and his wife, Ruth, of Florida and two sisters, Margaret ?Peggy? Winters of Beaver Falls and Patricia Coccia and her husband, Richard, of Ellwood City.

Friends will be received Thursday, September 23, 2010, from 6 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m. in the VanKirk Lutheran Church, 106 VanKirk Road, Monaca.

Interment will be private.

The family wishes that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made toward the research for the cure of diabetes.
