Robert David Bracken

Robert ‘Dave’ Bracken, 71 of Monaca, formerly of Aliquippa died peacefully on the morning of October 21, 2017 while staying at Brighton Rehabilitation & Wellness Center.Dave was born March 21, 1946 in Pittsburgh and attended St Anthony School in the Oakland section of the city until he was 21. He worked at the Dairy Queen in Aliquippa until the late 1980’s. Dave greatly enjoyed helping his nephew, Warren with working on the tow truck and delivering the “Little News” for several years. He also enjoyed crocheting, cutting grass for a special friend, running errands for people and lending a helping hand wherever he was needed.Dave leaves behind his aunt, Grace Urban of Boca Raton, Florida. Two nieces: Dawn Roscoe and her husband, Warren and Denise Popps and her husband, Michael as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.Dave was preceded in death by his parents. Lloyd and Amy Bracken; his sister, Virginia; his brother, Lloyd and his niece, Amy Current.A family visitation and viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 24th from 5 pm until the time of a blessing service at 7 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
