I was blessed to have met Pork during his illness and bonded with him immediately. I don't think I have ever met a nicer man that was so dedicated to his family and loved so much by his friends. My deepest sympathy to all of you. I will never forget him.

One of the most exciting gifts I ever received as a very young girl, and will always remember, was from my Uncle Pork. When Uncle Pork came back from the Korean war he brought back a velvet jacket covered with this large, colorful Dragon that had bright orange flames shooting from it's mouth. Loving dragons and dragon stories, it was the perfect gift. My eyes were as big as saucers when I saw it. And I thought my Uncle Pork was the coolest ever. I loved that jacket! He was an incredible craftsman creating furniture that was outstanding. He was creative and adventurous..from learning to play the mandolin to skiing the slopes. He was wise and kind. He was my Uncle Pork. And I am grateful to have had him in my life. Goodbye Uncle Pork and thanks for that cool jacket. Your niece, Sherry
