Roberta Elizabeth Brown-Miller, 88 of Center Township went home to Jesus on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at home with her family after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born in Rochester, Pennsylvania on November 1, 1930 to the late Anna and Henry Brown. She married her love, Herman Miller who preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded by her siblings: Pete, Roy ’Buzz’, Henry ‘Bunny’ and Margaret Holland.
She is survived by her children: David Miller and Joyce (Randy) Weigel, her grandchildren: Elizabeth (Brian) Mohr of Woodland Park, CO., David Weigel of Pittsburgh and Aimee (Patrick) Tillman of Ashville, North Carolina. Her great grandchildren, Max and Julian Tillman plus many nieces and nephews.
Roberta was a caring mother and her grandchildren were the ‘apple of her eye’. She had been employed by Bell Telephone Company and later by Sears for many years before retirement. She also dedicated her life to being active in her church (Faith Lutheran Church) as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the church’s ladies group and as a hostess at monthly prayer breakfasts.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the wonderful care and Roberta’s nurses, Angie and Lynn and her aide, Latisha. Also, a special thank you to her great friends and personal caregivers, Tina Roll and Dave Roebuck.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 31st from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. Private interment will take place at John Anderson Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flower, the family has requested donations be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Center Township. PA 15001.
